When I lisinopril for me (I) thought it was migraines, I coughed for all 6 months. It was long before I discovered it was the lisinopril makes me cough.
Lisinopril is an angiotensin converting enzyme (ACE) inhibitors, which expand blood vessels (up vasoldilator), the pressure in the system cardiovascualr reduced.
Hydrochlorothiazide (HCT) is a diuretic, which reduces the volume of the cardiovascular system, which acts also lower blood pressure.
Both work very well together as a vasodilator that the system is trying to pressure drop caused by fluid retention offset.
