With respect, I would not agree with euges429. If you visit Switzerland with a small child, I would say that Ottawa is the best option. Toronto would be good for younger seniors are interested in the nightlife and things of this nature.
Ottawa is the capital. There is a tremendous amount of history - many of which are created for young people to learn. There are more green in Ottawa than any other city I lived in Canada - a better environment for a young man from a concrete jungle.
The Rideau Canal is the perfect place to take children to and enjoy. You can walk the walk or you can bicycle, boat, kayak, etc.
There are many museums, lots of walking or a short bus ride from the buildings of Parliament andRideau Canal. http://www.ottawaplus.ca/feature/mad_abo ...
In a museum, the Museum for children of war - something to interest almost everyone. No need to spend a lot of money in expensive restaurants - a picnic, or eat a hamburger at one of the stalls and enjoy lunch at any green areas are rich in Ottawa.
No matter where you end up - I'm sure you'll like. I know - I'm a little biased - but it's the most beautiful country and I love every inch. I hope some of them and enjoy seeing!
They want a four-star hotel, which is not expensive? There is no place in any country.
VIA Rail is the national service of passenger trains in Canada. Here is their website.
